Curated by the festival’s creative team, Town Square is Tasting Australia’s go-to food mecca from 2–11 May 2024.

Situated in the heart of the CBD in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga, Tasting Australia’s free festival hub attracted more than 77,000 visitors in 2024, proving the public appetite for authentic, delicious food is unwavering. 

We want you to be part of the Tasting Australia story in 2025 – join us as a Town Square vendor and let our audience discover you. Tasting Australia is the perfect platform to show foodies and event lovers what you’re made of and why they should keep coming back. 

We are asking you, the vendors who are the prominent face of the festival hub, to push yourselves by putting the absolute best on offer and showcasing quality South Australian produce. 

Applications will be personally assessed by the Tasting Australia creative team to get the best mix of offerings and ensure that vendors' menus reflect the brand and ethos of the festival. The team is here to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have. We may potentially ask you to do a tasting to assist with the selection process.

The sites are 6m x 3m each. You will have the ability to build your Front of House to suit your brand. You will have access to shared cold storage and a power allocation. A gas fitter can assist you with your LPG installations onsite and extra space can be booked for coal-fired cooking.

 

We recommend pricing snacks at around $7 and larger meals at approximately $20. If you’d like to feature a signature dish with premium ingredients (I.e. lobster or wagyu) feel free to adjust the price accordingly. These signature dishes should offer something exceptional that complements your regular menu. All dishes should be easy to eat while standing, portable, and quick to serve.

Each vendor is encouraged to submit four to six dishes. You may wish to submit a larger offering but ultimately, we are after quality, not quantity. 

The South Australian new standards for single use plastics require only biodegradable food vessels and utensils to be served with your catering. Please refer to this link for further information: https://www.replacethewaste.sa.gov.au/
