Andrie Whisson was born in Taiwan, where her parents owned several restaurants. After high school, she trained as a Registered Nurse before specialising in Surgical Intensive Care.
In 2007 Whisson moved to Adelaide to pursue her nursing career where she met her husband, Mark. As one of the most experienced viticulturalists in the Adelaide Hills, Whisson was soon drawn into the vineyards and vines of the Adelaide Hills.
Since then, she has built on her industry training, completing WSET 2 and 3 in conjunction with hands-on-work in the vineyard.
