Callum Powell was born and raised in the Barossa Valley. He spent his formative years at his family’s winery – Torbreck – before working at JL Chave, Tyrrell’s and Jasper Hill.
At Agricola, his own winery, Powell works closely with some of the most renowned old vineyards in the Barossa with the aim of farming them sustainably and making them true to their individual character.
Producing wines in very much a lo-fi way, he seeks to express a vision of the Barossa with wines that are pure, unadulterated and without heavy oak influence.
