Jimmy Toone is a born and bred Adelaidean, whose love of cooking for people’s special occasions has seen him don aprons around the world, from the Savoie region of France, to the Nagano region of Japan.


As the Head Chef of the iconic Salopian Inn in Mclaren Vale, Jimmy provides an eclectic regional dining experience for guests showcasing quality ingredients from local producers. The use of local produce, together with his simplistic and flavour-focused cooking style, create dishes that celebrate Adelaide’s sustainability - with a hint of his travels mixed in.


When he’s not making addiction-causing dumplings at the Salopian, you can find Jimmy and his partner Jo, slinging their cult-favourite sourdough pizzas from the back of Jimmy’s ute. After spending pandemic lockdowns honing his dough skills, SPC Pizza was born, and can be found popping up at wineries, house-parties and bespoke events across Adelaide.
