Lachlan Barber has spent more than a decade immersed in Spanish wine. Following a stint as general manager and sommelier of Melbourne’s MoVida Aqui he took over the MoVida importation and distribution business Alimentaria, managing it for the past eight years. During that period Barber has become one of Australia’s leading experts on – and advocates for – Spanish wine.
Alimentaria has come to specialise in the modern, terroir-focused wineries that have formed a revolutionary cadre in Spain, including the likes of Comando G, Envinate and Dominio del Águila.
