Lachlan Jeffries

Lachlan is the Executive Chairman at the Jeffries Group. The Jeffries family has had their hands in South Australian soil for generations, growing strong since 1842. Jeffries is passionate about creating value from organic resources; many of these organic resources, until recently, were lost to landfill. The team at Jeffries delivers premium compost, soil, and mulch for farmers, viticulturists, landscapers, and home gardeners.

In his time at Jeffries, Lachlan has led many key initiatives, including the development of Jeffries' world-leading Buckland Park facility just north of Adelaide, which has received and processed over 150,000 tonnes per annum of urban organics from both kerbside and commercial sources since 2004. The Buckland Park facility includes significant technology that ensures Jeffries' compost, soil, mulch, fertiliser, and BioChar products are made to the highest standards.

Lachlan spent six years on the Zero Waste SA board and is currently on the national Australian Organics Recycling Association (AORA) board and the board of Mt Barker Waldorf School. In addition to looking inside bins Lachlan is kept busy being a Dad of two wonderful kids and his dog Jimmy.
