Marks love of food and science led him to winemaking.
After working in fine wine retail and graduating with a winemaking degree in 2006, Mark went on to gain experience in many regions around Australia and the world. Keen to come back to South Australia Mark landed a job at Turkey Flat Vineyards in the Barossa where he was the chief winemaker from 2010-2021. It was here Mark garnered a love of Grenache and became the first person to win the Jimmy Watson for a varietal Grenache.
Mark now continues his love of Grenache under his eponymous label, Bulman Wines. He also makes fun, expressive wines from the Adelaide Hills with his long-time mate Tim Bartsch under the Emmalene label.
