Sam Taylor completed his Viticulture and Oenology degree in 2014 and spent three years in the Adelaide Hills as a winemaker with Sidewood. It was during this time that he honed his skills and knowledge, bringing technical insights into the complexities of production for consumers. Since 2017 he has been a focal point at The Edinburgh Cellars, first as a wine buyer and now as Manager. His enthusiasm and passion for all things vinous have played a crucial role in the store's growth, with Gary Walsh quipping, ‘I don’t know if there is a better bottleshop in the country than the Ed.’ In 2021 he initiated a passion project - Abbeville - exclusively producing Nebbiolo from the Adelaide Hills.
With a keen interest in Piedmont, Loire Valley, Burgundy, and Champagne, Taylor joins us at Tasting Australia to provide detailed insights into the world of Nebbiolo, offering a glimpse of South Australia’s place in the world of fine wine.
