After experiencing his initial encounter with vintage in 2003, Steve Crawford has since worked in wineries and vineyards across South Australia, extending his expertise to Tasmania, Chianti, Barolo, Rheinhessen, and Languedoc.
At least every second year, the unapologetically Italian enthusiast travels to Italy to explore both familiar and unfamiliar regions, meet with various producers, and delve into a variety of grape varieties. During these visits, he also enjoys reconnecting with old friends and indulging in copious servings of pasta.
Since 2013 Crawford has been dedicated to his work within two wine labels: Frederick Stevenson and Giovanni Armani Giorgio. He specializes in crafting Sangiovese from multiple regions in South Australia
